Summary details of self-catering holiday accommotion 'Casa del Fiume'.

Our River Lodge ‘Casa del Fiume’ dates back over 200 years. It is made of beautiful Majella stone and was originally used as a hunting lodge and summer residence of a Chieti business family. The walls of the house are 2 - 3 feet thick to keep it cool in summer and help retain the heat in winter - very eco-friendly.

The white stone terrace is shaded by an ancient loquat tree, surrounded by lemon verbena and wild asparagus.

The location is ideal for exploring the many small medieval towns and villages of the region, rambling and trekking in the Majella mountains, swimming in the warm Adriatic sea (40 minutes drive), downhill skiing and snowboarding at the ski resort of Roccaraso (40 minute drive), cross-country skiing on 30 Kms of runs through beech woods at Bosco Sant’Antonio (30 minute drive), wakeboarding on Lake Bomba (30 minute drive) or merely relaxing with a book on your own private beach at the edge of the Aventino river (2 minute walk).

‘Casa del Fiume’ is available to rent all year round sleeping up to 5 people in 3 bedrooms.
